John Fisher is an associate dean in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at BYU-Idaho, and also serves as a faculty member in the Department of Biology.
John attended Utah Valley University and Brigham Young University before graduating from Utah State University with a bachelor's degree in chemistry and biochemistry. He continued his graduate studies at the University of Iowa, where he earned a doctorate degree in anatomy and cell biology.
Dr. Fisher has worked as a acturial technician for Transamerica and an associate professor of biological sciences at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah. He joined the Department of Biology at BYU-Idaho in 2015. He has served as an associate dean of student success in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences since 2019.
