Jason Flora attended Ricks College before graduating from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in Humanities. He afterwards earned a master's degree in Art History, Criticism and Conservation. He then completed a doctorate degree in Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching from the University Idaho.
Dr. Flora returned to Ricks College in 1999 to join the faculty in the Department of Humanities, where he continued to teach when the college became BYU-Idaho.
