Ira G. Young graduated from the University of Idaho with a bachelor's degree in organizational communication, with a human resource management emphasis. He continued his graduate studies at the University of Montana, where he earned a master's degree in communication studies, followed by a doctorate degree in educational leadership and administration from Idaho State University.
Dr. Young served for many years in the Church Educational System as a religion instructor and adjunct professor at BYU-Idaho in 2013. In 2017, he accepted the role of hiring coordinator at BYU-Idaho, where he invests his efforts in hiring new online instructors and staff.
