Dr. Dallin Hansen holds a DMA degree in violin performance from Arizona State University, studying with Dr. Katherine McLin. His doctoral work included studies with Arnold Steinhardt and Ida Kavafian in master class settings and chamber music with Mark Steinberg. Dr. Hansen also earned a M.M. degree in Orchestral Conducting, studying with Kory Katseanes, and a B.M. degree in Music Education, both from Brigham Young University. Principal teachers include Katherine McLin, Gerald Elias, Donna Fairbanks, and LaMar Barrus.

Dr. Hansen has performed as a solo artist throughout Utah, Idaho and Arizona. His orchestral and chamber music experience includes performance tours of Europe and Russia with the BYU Chamber Orchestra, performances with the Utah Symphony, and first violinist of the ASU Chamber Players (ASU's top mixed chamber ensemble). Dr. Hansen directs the string pedagogy program, teaches applied violin, and performs with the Serenata Strings faculty quartet at BYU-Idaho.
