Christopher Williams graduated from Brigham Young University in provo, Utah, with a double-major bachelor's degree in Fine and Studio Arts and Art History. He continued his graduate studies at the University of Memphis, where he earned a master's degree in Egyptian Art and Architecture. He afterwards completed a doctorate degree in Greek and Roman Art and Archaeology and Medieval Art and Architecture from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Dr. Williams served as an adjunct professor for a short time at Utah State University and BYU, where he taught art history. He then accepted a faculty position in the Department of Humanities and Philosophy in 2004, where he has taught courses in humanities. Dr. Williams has served as the department head from 2010 to 2106.
