Bio
CJ has been teaching online for BYU-Idaho since 2011 when he began as an online instructor while still working full-time in healthcare. In 2015, he became a full-time faculty member at BYU-Idaho.
Prior to teaching full-time he worked full-time as a healthcare compliance professional for Intermountain Healthcare, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, the University of Texas System and as Chief Compliance Officer for an international medical device company.
CJ has a passion for teaching and has developed curricula and taught adult employees seeking national medical coding and compliance certifications, trade workshops, seminars, and university courses.
In addition to his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, CJ holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) from the University of Texas at Brownsville. He completed his B.S., magna cum laude, from Brigham Young University, Provo, UT.

He lives in the Salt Lake City area with his wife and children. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, camping, hiking and photography.
