Biography
I was introduced to graphic design through a required lettering class for art majors at Ricks College, which jumpstarted my love for all things typography. After graduating with my BFA in graphic design, I worked in the design industry for fourteen years, first in environmental graphic design for clients such as the Kennedy Space Center, Warner Brothers, and Disney (including work for the virtual theme park DisneyQuest, now the subject of a Defunctland episode), and then overseeing the in-house design team at BYU-Idaho. I became a faculty member for the BYU-Idaho Art Department in 2010 and love learning about and teaching UX/UI design, typography, art history (especially the history of graphic design, illustration, and photography), and developing creativity and curiosity.
