Biography
Brian was born and raised in Idaho Falls. As a youngster he was drawn to the artistic side of life and bucked the trend of family engineers by becoming a photographer. He attended BYU and Ricks college and graduated with a degree in Art. After graduation he opened Brown Photography, a commercial based studio that gave him the excitement he desired, where nothing was ever the same, and each new job was a challenge and a new learning experience.
Brian is a PPA Master of Photography and a PPA certified Photographer. He has been active in Professional Photographers of Idaho as a board member and past president. He has been Master Photographer of the Year 3 separate times and has numerous awards including multiple Fuji and Kodak Gallery awards.
His creative side carries over into other areas of his life as well. He enjoys woodturning and creating unique forms and shapes. He also enjoys the beauty of outdoors. Teaching
has been a great blessing helping those who are passionate and excited about photography. Like any other profession, Art requires a lot of dedication and work to excel, and it is rewarding to see former students rise to the occasion.
