Bio

Alan Thompson is a professor of Business Management at Brigham Young University – Idaho. While earning his B.S. in Business Administration (emphasis on Marketing) from San Jose State University, he worked at Sun Microsystems, Inc. in various technical and engineering roles. He also earned his MBA from San Jose State University with a focus on Technology and Innovation. In 1997, Alan jumped into Digital Marketing and Advertising, where he worked until early 2016 in various Product Marketing positions and leading different organizations. Over the course of his career, Alan worked at multiple Internet and Digital Marketing companies including: Netscape, AdForce, Yahoo!, Experian, TransUnion, Ipsos and Epsilon. In his various positions, he has provided digital marketing solution to many top brands such as: Ford, Marriott, AT&T, GM, Landrover/Jaguar, P&G, American Express, and Disney. Alan also taught at Northwestern University as an adjunct professor for 9 years.

He has 2 totally awesome children ages 24 and 20, and has been married to his wonderful wife Juls for nearly 30 years. He currently resides in Rexburg, ID. As an interesting side note, Alan has performed the “dying” scene at Disney MGM Studios (Florida) in the Indiana Jones Adventure show 5 times!

Alan is also an author of a Supernatural Sci-Fi thriller trilogy titled “Creation Abomination”. He is really putting his digital marketing skills to the test since this is completely self-published.
