210 Auxiliary Gym
Boxing Class — Wednesday & Thursday Evenings from 9:00 PM - 10:30 PM, Hart Auxiliary Gym (Room 210)

Our class has three training groups:

1. Beginner Crash Course (30–40 min):
Learn boxing fundamentals, stance, balance, weight distribution, defense basics, and the six main punches (jab, cross, hooks, and uppercuts).
2. Intermediate / Advanced Group:
Refine your boxing technique through advanced footwork, defensive strategies, counterpunching, punch control, speed-and-power drills, guard variations, angles, and partner mitt work.
3. Sparring Clinic:
For experienced boxers ready for light sparring. Practice guard defense, slipping punches, and using angles. No heavy sparring or competition. Those interested in further sparring or competition can be referred to local fight gyms through our coaching network.

Gear:
We provide gloves, mitts, body pads, and conditioning equipment, but supplies are limited. Bringing your own gloves (14–16 oz) is recommended. Use deodorizer bags to keep them fresh.
Sparring participants must have a fitted mouthguard and approved gloves (subject to inspection).
Athletic shoes and modest exercise clothing are required.

Coaches:
Classes are led by student instructors and certified boxing coaches.
If you’re interested in becoming an instructor, let us know. We’re always developing future coaches.
