BYU-IDAHO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA AND CONCERT CHOIR TO PERFORM FAURE REQUIEM ON MAY 28
Please join the BYU-Idaho Symphony Orchestra and Concert Choir on Thursday, May 28 at 7:30pm in the Barrus Concert Hall for Gabriel Faure’s Requiem, directed by Dr. Robert Tueller. Faure’s Requiem is a beloved choral orchestral work, with ethereal melodies and a peaceful tone. The composer described this beautiful work as a “lullaby of death.” Student soloists will participate with the Concert Choir, directed by Dr. Eda Ashby. The evening includes two additional works for string orchestra, Vaughan Williams’ Three Preludes Founded on Welsh Hymn Tunes and Josef Suk’s Meditation on an Old Bohemian Chorale.
Tickets are $8 / $5 for students and available through the BYU-Idaho Ticket Office. Event dress is requested.
