Jean B. Bingham served as the 17th general president of the Relief Society from 2017 to 2022. Prior to her call, she returned to school as an adult and earned a bachelor’s and master's degree in teaching, and taught English as a second language to immigrants and refugees.
Since her release, Sister Bingham has served two years with her husband, Bruce, in the Belgium/Netherlands Mission as government relations representatives for the European Union & International Affairs Office of the Church in Brussels, Belgium.
She and her husband have two daughters and were also foster parents to children and teens, some of whom became “children of the heart.” Their family now includes a delightful dozen grandchildren.
Sister Bingham enjoys reading, listening to great music, outdoor recreation such as hiking, camping and canoeing; traveling; cooking for her family, and spending any time available with grandchildren.
