Storybook Parties Idaho brings magic to kids and kids at heart in Eastern Idaho. Founder and owner Amanda French, worked for Disney in entertainment after graduating high school. After returning to Idaho, French realized that many kids would never have the opportunity to meet their favorite characters at Disneyland. She wanted to change that.

“I wanted to do something that was special and unique,” French said.

French started out alone, with just one character. But eventually her business grew. Today, Storybook Parties has over 65 characters. Characters include superheroes, pirates, princesses, fairies, mermaids, Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, elves, a unicorn princess, the Easter bunny, and soon they will have a dinosaur. Some characters are from movies, and others were created by French.

French is always looking to add new characters. Next month, Storybook Parties will be holding auditions in Idaho Falls and Rexburg at BYU-Idaho. They are especially looking to add more diversity to their cast, and to cast more male characters.

French has seen the impact her business has on kids and adults. She expressed her favorite thing about the business is “The moment when they open the door, and they see their favorite character or see their favorite character from across the room at an event and you just see their eyes light up.”

Auditions for Storybook Parties will be March 8 and 10 in Idaho Falls and March 9 in Rexburg at BYU-Idaho. More information can be found at https://www.storybookpartiesidaho.com/
