Since she was a young girl, Amanda French has always loved heroes and princesses. She pursued her dream job after high school and became a princess performer for Disney. In an interview with BYU-Idaho Radio, French explained how she has adapted this love for storybook characters to the Idaho scene.
“I had the opportunity actually when I turned 18 to go and work for [Disney], and I absolutely loved it. And when I moved back to Idaho, I realized there was going to be a lot of kids that would never have the opportunity to meet their favorite heroes or princesses, and I wanted to bring a little bit of magic to Eastern Idaho by introducing storybook characters and superheroes,” French said.
French has been a professional princess since 2002 and later opened Storybook Parties Idaho in 2017. Although she is retired from performing, French still finds joy in managing her business.
