From a young age, Rob Lake knew he was bound to do magic. His passion has taken him to 45 countries around the world. It even landed him as a quarter-finalist in America’s Got Talent in 2018.
At 20 years old he left college to pursue magic. It took a lot of hard work over the course of the next few years, but he made his dream a reality. His passion for magic is what leads him to believe that he could not be doing anything other than this.
“You have to remind yourself of all the things you’ve done because there are constant frustrations or disappointments or let downs in all of life,” Lake said. “But you have to remember the great things you've accomplished and what you want to do.”
Although life on the road can be challenging at times, Lake loves that his job takes him all over the world to see different sights and meet new people.
“I’m reminded when I have an audience that these people spend their hard earned money to come see me live my dream. It’s a tradeoff that I’m willing to make and it’s been one giant adventure that I keep celebrating every day when I wake up,” Lake said.
Lake will be performing tonight at the Colonial Theater in Idaho Falls. To find more information about his show, visit: https://www.idahofallsarts.org/calendar/the-magic-of-rob-lake/
