Rexburg officially has a new East Idaho Credit Union location on 2nd E near Pizza Pie Café.

The branch has served the Rexburg area since the 1980s, but many people did not know about the location in a hidden area off Yellowstone Highway. The lack of visibility prompted them to make a move to the heart of Rexburg.

We are very excited about our new location,” said Britni Holman, Branch Manager of the new Rexburg Branch.

According to Holman, the branch focuses on a smaller scale of banking, like helping people open new accounts, and giving out smaller loans to people and businesses.

Holman said the workers of EICU did not have to work the 80-hour weeks that other bankers had to when those bankers were distributing federal funds as part of the coronavirus relief packages.

Currently, the branch has six total employees, five of whom work at the branch, while Holman, for the time being, works from home.

I just want to give kudos to my team for the great job that they’ve been doing in taking care of our membership,” Holman said.

Holman said the branch has been busy ever since their ribbon-cutting last week and they look forward to serving members of the community in their new location.

We are very excited to be in the mainstream of Rexburg and to be involved in our community,” Holman said.

The new branch is located at 310 N 2nd E in Rexburg. Their hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The branch is closed on Sundays.
