“What does it mean to you to be all in the gospel of Jesus Christ?” That’s the question Morgan Jones asks at the end of each of her “All In” podcast episodes. She’s the manager of audience engagement and the host of the “All In” podcast for LDS Living and Deseret Book.

The “All In” podcast started in October 2018. Since then, Jones has posted more than 130 episodes with millions of downloads. She said she didn’t really know what she was doing when they first started the podcast. She previously wrote articles for Deseret News and LDS Living. Putting herself out there in a podcast was a little uncomfortable for her. She was afraid it could flop.

“We were just a ragtag bunch trying to figure out what we were doing as we went along,” Jones said.

Two-and-a-half years after the podcast’s launch, she has a new book coming out this month titled “All In: Exploring What It Means to Be All In the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

The book is an exploration of what Jones has learned about what it means to be “all in.” She said the book is broken up into chapters about being “all in” in different situations. Some chapters include “being all in, in tough times,” “being all in, loving those who leave” and “being all in through covenants.”

The book contains her “take-aways” and how the idea of being “all in” has changed in her mind. She told BYU-Idaho Radio that, even though the book is finished, it doesn’t mean she’s done learning that meaning. She originally thought “being all in” meant making a commitment, but she now knows it’s a lot deeper than that.

“For me, the book is just a reflection of how much Heavenly Father works in our lives in ways that we may not always understand,” Jones said.
