All pet owners and pet lovers are invited to the Mutt Strut this month.

The Mutt Strut is a beloved annual event hosted by the Snake River Animal Shelter. Community members can gather together, have fun and even wear Halloween costumes with their pets.

“The Mutt Strut is not a race,” said Michelle Ziel-Dingman, the executive director of Snake River Animal Shelter. “It is just a fun walk you can do with a pet or without a pet … and just experience the great community of pet lovers.”

She also says the community can adopt a pet, donate cash and cleaning supplies and share the shelter’s posts on social media.

“Every person that shares our posts allows us to reach a new audience,” Ziel-Dingman said, “you just don’t know who might be interested in bringing a pet into their home.”

The Mutt Strut will be held on Wednesday, October 26, from 6 to 9 p.m.
