The Madison County Fair is in full swing and has a selection of events both old and new to keep you entertained.
Entry into the fair is $1 and that gets you access to the livestock shows, exhibits, certain stage events, like animal expert Corbin Maxey and comedy juggler and magician the Amazing Arthur, and much more.
The 4H program makes up a big part of the fair. Youth will show off the livestock and projects they've raised and worked on this spring and summer.
"My most favorite thing is watching the kids grow throughout the year," said Chris Johnson, Madison County Fair Board member. "Seeing when they start their projects, their animals are crazy, the kids are frustrated, going through fair week, it builds a lot of character in the youth around here."
Other returning events include the Upper Valley High School Football Pulls and the Utah Horse Pullers. Both events are Thursday night and are included in the price of admission.
A new event this year is the Bull Wars. It's a ticketed event at 7 p.m. Friday. It's replacing the rodeo that usually happens on Friday night at the fair. It's an open event, "so honestly, anybody who's willing to sign a waiver and pay the entry fees can get on a bull that night, so it should be a good time," Johnson said.
Mad Marvin Figure 8 Races will return on Saturday night at 6:30. It's $8 to get in and wraps up the fair.
Johnson said if you've been to the fair in the past, you'll want to make sure to come this year because there are new buildings, updates to the grounds, and more vendors and exhibits.
"We've got a little bit of everything there and I promise you you'll find new food and something you've never seen before in an event," Johnson said.
