The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released the location and an artist rendering of the Pocatello Idaho Temple.
The temple will be built in a new subdivision called Crestview Estates - Division 2 east of Satterfield Dr. and Butte St. in Pocatello.
Then Church President Thomas S. Monson announced the temple in the April 2017 General Conference.
The Church says construction won't start up until next year and it will take between two and three years to build.
The Pocatello Idaho Temple will be the sixth temple in Idaho. Other temples include the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple, Boise Idaho Temple, Rexburg Idaho Temple, Twin Falls Idaho Temple and Meridian Idaho Temple.
There are nearly a half million members of the Church in Idaho.
