After studying opera, having a career in country music and teaching music in New York City, Luanne Asta found The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
While she met with missionaries and investigated the Church, she said the hymns played a big part in her conversion.
"The Church is really interesting in New York...the hymns have been a big part of bringing me peace in New York City," said Asta "I use them to take me to a quieter peaceful place and that's how this album came about."
Asta's CD is called 'Peace in the City' and features some of her favorite hymns with a bit of a twist.
"If you love modern music, pop music or hymns, even if you don't, it's a great place to come and have a listen, be inspired and feel the spirit."
