The musical group GENTRI performed at BYU-Idaho on Sat., Dec. 3, 2022. GENTRI (short for “The Gentlemen Trio”) consists of three tenors, Brad Robins, Casey Elliott and Bradley Quinn Lever. They founded the group in June 2014. Stephen Nelson, award winning producer, composer and arranger, is the fourth member of the group.
Since their beginnings, GENTRI has performed all over the country and the world. They have performed with several famous musical artists like Alfie Boe, Idina Menzel, Journey, Blondie and One Republic.
Rexburg is a special place for GENTRI.
“We love coming to Rexburg,” Robins said in an interview with BYU-Idaho Radio. “This was one of the first stops in our early days.”
On Saturday, the group performed classic Christmas songs like “Do You Hear What I Hear” and “O Come, All Ye Faithful” with the BYU-Idaho student choirs, orchestra and dancers in the BYU-Idaho Center. The members said they reimagined or “Gentri-fied” the arrangements of some of the songs.
