Matt Babcock is a professor in the English Department who is currently working to publish a book of fiction short stories, Future Perfect.
Babcock spoke with BYU-Idaho Radio about his experiences writing these short stories.
He said he originally started writing short stories when he started teaching the short story writing class at BYU-Idaho roughly 25 years ago.
He said most of his stories have already been published online or in magazines and journals, but this is the first time they'll be printed in a compiled book.
Babcock said his original publisher went out of business and he though his book would never get published, but then a publisher at Queens Ferry Press contacted him wanted to pick up the project.
Babcock said they have since been going through the editing process and he expects his book to be available for purchase on Amazon in November of this year.
