The Idaho Falls Choralaires is holding its Christmas concert this Saturday.

The Choralaires is the longest-running women’s choir in Idaho. It was formed over a 100 years ago.

Janet Rigby is the president of the choir. She said the members of the choir have strong friendships with each other beyond singing together.

“When someone is ill, we have people right there that take care of them,” she said.

Rigby said some of the 18 songs the choir will perform will be spiritual, while others will be fun. These songs include “Carol of the Bells,” “Sugar Cookies,” “Away in a Manger” and “O Come, All Ye Faithful.”

“So, there’s just a variety,” Rigby said, “and the kids truly love some of these really fun Christmas songs that we perform.”

The Choralaires’ Christmas concert is this Saturday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. at the Hillcrest High School’s performing arts center. Admission is free. For more information, visit www.ifchoir.com
