BYU-Idaho’s Elevate Competition is having its kickoff event on Thursday, May 20.
Elevate is an interdisciplinary competition where students from all backgrounds and majors can come together in teams to solve a social problem.
“We just want to get everyone’s ideas…as long as it’s actionable and sustainable and innovative and interdisciplinary were all for it,” said Lacy Wray, one of the program’s directors.
This semester’s topic is how students can elevate their mental health by creating a culture of positivity.
“This topic is really divinely guided, and we can come up with some really cool answers and some really cool solutions and I think any student would be crazy to not want to help.” Wray said.
The kickoff event starts at 6:30 p.m. in the Manwaring Center Little Theater.
