Twister, Battleship, Tic-Tac-Toe, and Foosball are all great games, but imagine them ten times their size.
BYU-Idaho Social Activities are holding a campus wide game night called Get in the Game on June 24, 2017, from 6-8 pm at the fields adjacent to the free parking lot. The event will feature human-sized Twister, Battleship, Tic-Tac-Toe, and Foosball.
Mariah Handy, one of the managers of the game night said while planning the event, they had all BYU-Idaho students in mind.
"We wanted everyone to know and feel the BYU-I family and that we're all in this together," said Handy. "They should expect to have a really good time. This is supposed to be a casual, fun event that anyone can come to and you can play as many or as few games as you want."
Handy said BYU-Idaho Social Activities hopes the game night creates new friendships and possibly becomes an annual event.
"We are hoping that you bring all your friends but then that you're meeting new friends. It should be a ton of fun," said Handy. "What we would love to happen is that this gets so big we have to turn people away. If that's the case, we can talk with the school and get a big budget, a huge field having way more games than the four we have and this can become like a festival."
The game night is looking for volunteers and as an incentive, each person who volunteers for an hour will have access to all of the games for free during the second hour.
The event is $2 per person or $10 for a group of 10 people. More information can be found on their Facebook event page.
