Derrick Boudwin was diagnosed with a degenerative eye disease called retinitis pigmentosa when he was 18, and since then, he's lost most of his peripheral vision.
He started writing songs about a year ago to share his story, and he recently released an album of music he's written called "Ever Dimming Room."
"I am humbled to share my music and a part of my life with you," Boudwin said.
According to his website, Boudwin was able to work with his "all-time favorite singer/songwriter," JR Richards, the original voice and songwriter behind Dishwalla.
His music is available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and on his website, www.boudwinmusic.com.
Boudwin and his wife graduated from BYU-Idaho in 2009 and now live in Utah.
