Cancer is the second most common cause of death in the United States and most of the cancers when caught early can be treated.

So what keeps women from going to get a check up for breast cancer? Southeastern Idaho hospitals are hoping to change that with their initiative called "Brake for Breakfast."

Student reporters Bryce and Nina Janne spoke with some survivors about their experiences with breast cancer with the hopes they will encourage women not only to attend the event but take the time to get checked.

Their podcast will be passed out to those waiting to be checked for a mammogram so they can receive more information.

The event will go from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
