The Rexburg Children’s Choir is holding its Christmas concert next week with a special guest, Adassa.
According to its website, the Rexburg Children’s Choir is one of the most successful youth music programs in the Intermountain West. It was founded in 2018 and has been heard by over 30 million people through TV, radio broadcasts, the internet, streaming services and live concerts.
The choir has produced recordings and events featuring Grammy-award winning vocalist Frederica von Stade and number-one Billboard artists like Jenny Oaks Baker and Mat and Savanna Shaw.
For this upcoming Christmas concert, the choir will be joined by singer Adassa who is best known for voicing Dolores from Disney’s “Encanto.”
Even if you haven't seen “Encanto,” you've most likely heard the most popular song from it, "We Don't Talk About Bruno," which charted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks in a row.
Ben Watson, one of the directors and the founder of the Rexburg Children’s Choir, says Adassa will perform a special arrangement of "We Don't Talk About Bruno" with the choir.
“The whole choir’s involved with that song,” he said. “It’s definitely their favorite song for the production.”
The Rexburg Children’s Choir’s Christmas concert is Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m. at Madison High School in Rexburg. There are only a few tickets left before they sell out. To buy tickets, visit mhschoirs.ludus.com/index.php.
