GENTRI

REXBURG, Idaho – After a two-year hiatus, Brigham Young University-Idaho's Center Stage is pleased to bring back the annual tradition of A BYU-Idaho Christmas. Along with students in the College of Performing and Visual Arts, this year’s special guest artist features GENTRI. The performance will take place on Saturday, December 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the BYU-Idaho Center.

Short for The Gentlemen Trio,” GENTRI are pioneers of a signature sound best-described as “Cinematic Pop.” Encompassed by epic orchestrations and dynamic three-part harmonies, their music includes popular classics, current hits, and Broadway favorites, as well as their original inspiring compositions.

GENTRI has performed extensively throughout the United States and across the globe, sharing the stage with world-renowned artists. The Gents are also known for their award-winning music videos, which have been viewed tens of millions of times, with their albums reaching #1 on various Billboard charts.

A BYU-Idaho Christmas Production Stage Manager Alex Jeppson shares that university students and employees have been working on the show since July.

“We’ve been working for months to make it to be what story we want to tell, the feeling we want to give, and the celebration of Christ and Christmas for this season,” Jeppson said.

The theme of this year’s performance is “Together Again at Christmas.”

"We want to remember that Christmas is about gathering and remembering our Savior,” Jeppson said. “Our songs, narrations, lighting, and scenic design elements have all come from that theme.”

Tickets start at $15 for the general public and $10 for students. Tickets can be purchased online at www.byui.edu/ticket-office/, by calling 208-496-3170, or at the Ticket Office in the University Store on the first floor of the Manwaring Center.
