The BYU-Idaho Piano Area provides a dynamic, individualized approach to developing students wishing to enhance their piano performing and teaching abilities.

Students receive private instruction tailored to their specific needs and goals, whether those goals are to perform at a high level in competition, audition successfully for a selective graduate degree program, or develop an entrepreneurial approach to a career that involves teaching, performing, collaborative work, or more.  Piano students have the opportunity to practice and perform on excellent newer and rebuilt Steinway pianos kept in top condition by a skilled technician.  In addition, piano students learn to build their careers with the help of a strong Collegiate Chapter of Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), and often travel to state and national conferences to enhance their understanding of the field.
