Clinical Health Psychologist

Clinical health psychologists combine their knowledge of psychology with their knowledge of the healthcare system to help patients emotionally, psychologically, and physically overcome illness, emotional turmoil, and stress. They often work in hospitals and help patients cope with severe illnesses, disabilities, or traumatic life-changing surgeries.

Occupational Therapist

Occupational therapist help people through the therapeutic use of everyday activities. They spend time with patients and helping them develop a plan to become stronger or more able to do the activities they need or want to do in their daily lives. This includes evaluating patients' lives and helping them know what they need to do to reach their goals, as well as completing a post evaluation to determine if goals are being reached or if plans need to be revised.

Sport Psychologist

Sports psychologists work to help athletes have a positive outlook despite setbacks, losses, or distractions. They work to help performers maintain their mental state to help increase performance and reduce distractions.

Life/Health Coach

Life and health coaches are supportive mentors who motivate individuals to cultivate positive health choices. They educate and support clients to help them achieve their health goals through lifestyle and behavior adjustments. Proper training programs and certification ensure that health coaches know how to work with diverse groups of people and equips them with the tools necessary to best fit the needs of their clients.

Counselor

Counselors help people reflect on their emotions, behaviors, and their lives. They usually do not give advice but instead often help patients work through problems on their own and create a plan of action. The main job for a counselor is to help the client become self-sufficient and, over time, learn to cope and overcome any problems.
