Vaughn Stephenson

Vaughn Stephenson was born in Rupert, Idaho and raised in Acequia, Idaho. He is the third of four children born to Eldon and Erlene Stephenson.

Brother Stephenson attended Ricks College prior to serving in the France Paris Mission. After returning from his mission he attended BYU where he met his wife, Elizabeth Clark, and earned a bachelor's degree in Communication Education with a minor in French. He also earned a master's degree from BYU in Communication and was named the Outstanding Graduate. He later earned a PhD in Adult Education from the University of Idaho.

Prior to coming to teach at BYU-Idaho, Brother Stephenson taught speech, drama and choir at his former high school until 1989, when he was hired as a member of the humanities faculty.

Brother Stephenson has served in the church in a variety of capacities including ward choir director, gospel doctrine teacher, primary teacher, stake high council, and in two YSA wards. He currently serves in his ward Sunday School and as an ordinance worker in the Rexburg Temple.

Vaughn Stephenson and his wife, Elizabeth, are the parents of three daughters and one son, and the grandparents of two and three quarter grandchildren.
