Biography:

Robert Tueller was called to serve in the South Africa Johannesburg Mission as a young man. He received a bachelor’s degree in music from Utah State University, followed by a master’s degree in instrumental conducting and a doctorate in early music performance from the University of Southern California. Robert has directed orchestra programs at multiple universities, played principal cello with the Los Angeles Baroque Orchestra, and served as an assistant conductor for the Los Angeles Mozart Orchestra. In 2001, he began working at BYU-Idaho where he now directs the BYU-Idaho Symphony Orchestra, University Baroque Ensemble, and cello studies.

Robert and his wife, Corynne, recently celebrated their thirty-fourth wedding anniversary. They are the parents of three children and have four grandchildren. Robert has held several callings in the Church, including gospel doctrine teacher, Young Men leader, bishop, and Primary pianist.
