Biography:

Peter Williams was born and raised in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s and doctorate in instructional psychology and technology from Brigham Young University. Peter served in the Bucharest Romania Mission. Prior to joining BYU-Idaho in 2007, he worked with the BYU Technology-Assisted Language Learning group and BYU Independent study. Peter currently serves as Online Learning Director of Quality Assurance and Innovation for BYU-Idaho.

Peter met his wife, Karen, while teaching at the MTC. They have seven children—four boys and three girls. The oldest is currently attending BYU, and the youngest is in first grade. Peter has loved every calling he has received in the Church, and he currently serves as the elders quorum president in his ward.
