Janell Greenwood

Human Performance and Recreation Faculty

Biography:

Janell Greenwood has been teaching at BYU-I for ten years, and has discovered that the best part of BYU-I is the students. She was raised in Oregon, served a mission in Canada, and graduated from BYU in recreation management with an emphasis in therapeutic recreation. She has also earned an MBA. Prior to coming to BYU-I, Janell was a recreation therapist with a career focused on how recreation can heal and benefit people’s lives. When Janell is not working, you can find her playing outdoors with her husband and children, exercising, or gardening. Interestingly, she has backpacked through several countries in the northern and southern hemispheres. She has two “bonus” daughters, one of whom is serving in the California Bakersfield mission, and a daughter and a son. She currently teaches a youth Sunday School class.
