Visit Construction companies all over the country!
Each semester, our Department invites architecture and construction management students to participate in our Expedition trips. These expeditions are a prestigious resource to find internships, full-time employment, or networking opportunities. Students are selected and invited based on their grades, year in school, participation in Architecture and Construction Management Society, and ties to the area we visit.
The number of students invited depends on the expedition destination. For local expeditions within driving distance, about 20 students can attend. When traveling farther, 6 students are typically invited.
Past expeditions have included companies located in:
- Denver, Colorado
- Seattle, Washington
- Portland, Oregon
- San Francisco, California
- Los Angeles, California
- Phoenix, Arizona
- Dallas, Texas
- Salt Lake City, Utah
- Boise, Idaho
During the expedition, the Department visits 10-12 construction related companies to learn about possible student opportunities. Students have the chance to ask questions and potentially interview with these companies. In the past, we have visited a wide range of residential builders, small commercial construction companies, suppliers, and large international builders. Some of these companies include Bechtel, Fluor, Jacobsen, Okland, Brighton Homes, and Sunroc.
