Lloyd & Annette Bell

Beaverton, OR

We are excited about servicing a church service mission helping the students at Brigham Young University-Idaho find internship opportunities. We have employed interns in two of our businesses and have always enjoyed working with young men and women who are enthusiastic and dedicated to their chosen interests.

Sister Bell has volunteered in a High School Career center primarily assisting in finding scholarship opportunities for students desiring to further their education. She is also a registered nurse, a Master Gardiner, an accomplished organist and pianist, piano teacher, the mother of 6 children and the grandmother of 29. She has served in the Stake Young Women’s organization and Stake Music positions as well as many positions in Ward Young Women, Relief Society, Primary and Sunday School. She is invigorated by working with young people.

Brother Bell is a computer nerd from the first computer generation and has worked in Banking and as an IT consultant. Just prior to retirement we purchased a farm and began the development of our retirement career as orchardists. Our u-pick orchard of 1,200 trees features peaches, apples, pears and cherries. Brother Bell has served in a Stake Presidency and other Stake callings as well as Ward callings in Bishoprics, Young Mens, Primary and Sunday School.

Sister Bell was born in Afton, Wyoming and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Brother Bell was born in Fort Ord, California and also raised in Idaho Falls. We met in the third grade but didn’t start dating officially until our first year at Ricks College. Sister Bell graduated from the nursing program at Ricks. Brother Bell served a mission in Germany then completed a computer science degree at BYU and later an MBA from the University of Portland. After our marriage in 1970 we lived for short periods in Provo, Idaho Falls, Santa Ana California and Phoenix, Arizona before settling in Oregon in 1976. We recently served a full time mission in the Nordic countries as Self Reliance missionaries.
