Elder Kennard has lived in Idaho Falls, ID for the past 5 years, after raising his family in Farmington, UT and spending 50 years there. He is the Father of one Daughter and one Son and the Grandfather of 6 – all still living in Utah
Elder Kennard has served as Stake High Councilor, Stake Athletic Director, High Priest Group Leader, Elders Quorum Presidency, Young Men’s President, Teachers Quorum and Deacons Quorum advisor, Sunday School Teacher, Primary Teacher and his favorite Nursery Leader. He also served a full-time mission in the Michigan Lansing Mission.
Elder Kennard spent most of his working life in corporate America building someone else’s dream, but finally got out of the rate race and started with Transamerica Financial Advisors in 2001 and is currently a Senior Marketing Director with that firm. He has a small agency still in SLC and is currently trying to build a business in Idaho as well.
Elder Kennard loves spending time with his family and still travels to Utah regularly to see them and to support his grandkids in their activities. Hobbies include almost all sports, though he only plays golf anymore, all kinds of music, reading, and is an aspiring and gifted photographer with several of his works have been on display in galleries around the world.
He is excited for this opportunity to serve the students of BYU Idaho, and is looking forward to meeting many of you!
