Sister Holly Waite is from Nampa, Idaho just outside of Boise, Idaho. She was born and raised in the Treasure Valley, youngest of six children, and had a wholesome farm upbringing where she helped with farm work and chores regularly. Currently, she is happily married to Brian Waite and has three children who are ages 17, 15, and 14 and who came to her and her husband by way of another Idahoan mother. They are their focus and priority. Although her husband works full time for the military and does not serve with her in this capacity, he is totally supportive and helpful.
In the past, she has served a Latter-Day Saint full-time proselyting and welfare service mission to Seoul, Korea. She loved speaking Korean and hopes to go back there one day. She prays that in time the gospel of Christ will open up to the Northern regions of that peninsula. Before and after her full-time mission, she served as Visiting Teaching Coordinator, Ward Music Chair (several times), Relief Society Instructor, Primary Teacher and Pianist (several times), Ward Choir Director and Ward Organist (several times). She loves her current calling: BYU-Idaho Boise Area Internship Coordinator!
She attended Brigham Young University Idaho when it was called RICKS College and got her Associate of Social Science in Social Work. She then went on to attend BYU-Provo and finished her Bachelor of Social Work and subsequently completed her Master of Social Work there. She worked in various settings with her undergraduate and graduate degrees. These included community mental health (more than once), school social work (more than once), Disaster Service Director for the American Red Cross (Provo chapter), Clinician for Children's Mental Health in Regions III and IV of the Department of Health & Welfare, R.M.H.A. in Region III of Department of Health & Welfare, and Hospice Social Worker.
She enjoys spending time with her family, doing temple work, watching movies, hiking, biking, and travel/exploring the beautiful world in which we live. She has been fortunate enough to visit half of the United States and go to visit 9 different countries. She has been blessed beyond measure.
Sister Waite wants you to know of her love for Jesus Christ and His Church. She feels His Love every day and knows that He guides her life. She welcomes you to reach out to her at any time: (208) 565-0484 and/or email her at email@example.com Although it is the student's responsibility to find an internship, She will do her best to help and guide you.
