Students will learn:

- Real estate, buying and selling securities, mutual funds portfolio theory

- Advanced time value of money, retirement planning strategies, tax-deferred retirement planning vehicles, asset allocation, specific investment products, insurance, estate planning, and financial planning strategies.

- Hedging, security analysis, and derivative assets, advanced spreadsheet models.

- Business law such as corporate governance, shareholder rights, securities regulation, bankruptcy, secured transactions, and more.

Students will learn:

- Students will learn proven social media marketing skills and strategies by creating an effective social media marketing campaign by creating varieties of marketing related content and posting their content in various social medial platforms including WordPress, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, etc.

- Students will learn design and typographic principles; social media skills for blogs, websites, and print productions; file management; layout; image capture; editing; and optimization using industry-standard software to produce effective visual media for targeted audiences.

- Students will learn how to read, write, design, and manipulate HTML/CSS.

- Students will learn to read the social media landscape and anticipate market trends. They will learn to identify where there target audience is and why they are using that channel. They'll learn to identify the strengths and weaknesses of social media channels.

- Students will learn to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze digital media products and make appropriate research-based recommendations for improvements of effective implementation.

- Students will learn to use web analytics to identify areas that could be optimized in pay-per-click and search engine optimization.

- Students will be able to implement a social media marketing campaign for their specific businesses. Students will create content for a blog, Facebook, YouTube and various social media platforms. Students will analyze and measure results to optimize their social media efforts.

- Students will be able to produce visual media projects, including slide design, social media marketing, photographic study, event flier, movie poster, web page, magazine spread and WordPress to demonstrate diverse skills and design understanding.

- Students will be able to read, write, and validate HTML and CSS while implementing good SEO practices.

- Based on their analysis, students will plan, produce, revise, implement, and evaluate a series of projects designed for use on social media. A focus on effective visual communication principles and campaign objectives will help the students decide how to best communicate their message to their audience and on which social media channels to do so.

- Students will demonstrate knowledge of Google Analytics and other social media metric dashboards and how to access and explain data on them.

- Students will be able to create and manage a pay-per-click campaign, including keyword selection, ad text, key word optimization and search engine optimization.
