Wellness Information

The BYU-Idaho Wellness Center is a student administered and student staffed facility, with oversight by the Campus Wellness Committee. The Wellness Center has a Student Director and four assistant student employees, who oversee the day-to-day operations. The students providing the hands-on assessments come from a variety of disciplines on campus, but have been trained in one or more of the assessment procedures. Ongoing training, practice and certification testing of those administering the services will become standard procedure.

We have and will continue to learn much that has and will allow us to refine and improve our procedures, materials, and operations. Overtime, new equipment and services will be introduced progressively developing into a facility offering comprehensive health and fitness assessments and program recommendations. The ultimate goal is to help contribute to the overall health and quality of life of the BYU - Idaho campus community while providing students of a variety of disciplines with leadership opportunities and skill development.
