University Communications was initially formed in 2001 and organized as a department in 2008.
As the central communication office for Brigham Young University-Idaho, University Communications supports the institution's mission by accurately communicating key messages and events to the campus community and beyond. To achieve this goal, University Communications incorporates media relations, publications development, online communication, broadcasting, branding, communication strategy, and marketing.
University Communications is organized into three main areas of emphasis: 1.) Creative Services, 2.) News and Broadcasting, and 3.) Marketing and Strategy.
Our process includes four basic elements:
- Identifying the appropriate target audience
- Developing accurate and informative messages
- Determining an appropriate delivery method
- Evaluating outcomes for effectiveness
