FROM THE ALUMNI PRESIDENT
Newly installed alumni president Pamela Wray Eckhardt (79) details reasons to become involved in the alumni association. "We want to hear from you," Pam says. "And it's easier now than ever before."

FUTURE OF SPORI BUILDING
A letter from Ricks College President David A. Bednar sheds light on the decision concerning the future of the college's oldest building.

COVER STORY
As we approach a new century, it seems only fitting to review, in pictures and words, what's happened during the past 100 years at Ricks College.  We've concentrated our coverage primarily on the physical changes in "Ricks College: A View from the Hill" because we wanted to conclude with a view of our newest edifice, the Spencer W. Kimball Student and Administrative Service Building.  The building was dedicated in early September by President Gordon B. Hinckley.  His visit was a great way to end this century at Ricks.

CONTINUING THE TRADITION
With this issue we welcome Brett Sampson (88), a new contributing writer.  Brett, in his article "The Gratitude in Their Hearts, " offers a glimpse into the hearts of just a few students who have recently received scholarships, and gives them an opportunity to say, "thank you."

ATHLETICS
Success on the national scene in women's softball and men's and women's track and field highlighted the spring sports scene at Ricks.
