2. Employees can view the written Hazard Communication program at:
The office of a department director, area manager, shop supervisor, the college safety department or on the Safety Department web page .
A. If necessary to view program or MSDS and access is not otherwise available, contact the campus police for immediate access to information.
3. Employees can view the written Hazardous Communication Program anytime they are working.

Training should be given for every hazardous chemical in your work area. Use this page for outlining the information you will present for each hazardous chemical. Make copies of this page as needed.

As stated in the Employee Information and Training Program section of this written Hazard Communication program employees must be informed of the hazards associated with non-routine tasks and of the hazards of chemicals in unlabeled pipes. Even if you do not include this information in your Employee Information and Training Program, the method you will use to inform employees of these two types of hazards must be included in the written Hazard Communication Program.

When you complete an item below, place a check in the corresponding box. When the checklist is completed, you may want to keep it on file for future reference.
[ ] Compile a Hazardous Chemicals Inventory and turn it into the Safety Office.
[ ] Understand the policies and fill in the blanks contained in the written Hazard Communication Program for your department
[ ] Be sure your work area is in compliance with these policies.
[ ] Keep a complete copy of the Hazardous Chemicals Inventory in the appropriate department or work area and insure its accessibility to employees.
[ ] Be sure every hazardous chemical container is properly labeled.
[ ] Be sure a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for every chemical on the Hazardous Chemicals Inventory is readily accessible for any employee.
[ ] Prepare an Employee Information and Training Program and provide a copy of it to the Safety Office.
[ ] Be sure every employee has successfully completed the requirements of the Employee Information and Training Program for your department.
[ ] Signed the Employee Information and Training Evaluation, and signed the Employee Confirmation of Policy Awareness (a copy is included in the Addendum of the written Hazard Communication Program).
