The BYU-Idaho Fleet Services provides bus service to all University Departments to assist in their programs and provide safe transportation. This is accomplished with University owned Buses and Contracted Bus Companies. BYU-Idaho owns two activity style buses which will transport 47 persons each. University Buses will be utilized first for trips within a 300 mile radius of BYU-Idaho. Bus Service outside of the 300 mile radius will be serviced by a Contracted Charter company and will be coordinated through Fleet Services for liability and service agreements. Buses are reserved and scheduled on a first come, first served basis through BYU-Idaho Fleet Services Reservations System. Once University Buses are scheduled, Contracted Charter services are used to assist with larger groups or multiple trip schedules.
A fuel surcharge will apply if the diesel fuel rate per gallon exceeds $4.25/gallon. The surcharge will be one cent per mile extra for every 5 cents that the gallon diesel price exceeds the $4.25/gallon.
24 hours' notice is required for cancellation of Reservation.
If a cancellation is requested when the Charter Company has already committed or if a cancellation occurs after the Charter Company has left with a bus from their depot, a $250 cancellation fee/bus will apply.
Reservations for a bus trip can be made through the BYU-Idaho Fleet Services Reservations System. Reservations should be made as far in advance as possible.
Below is a list of standard reserved trips with their associated costs for round trip service by either University Buses or Charter Service. Please note that these trips are based on 47 passengers per bus. Trips requiring different accomodations will require a separate quote.
