This tutorial explains how to retrieve logo files for use after you have downloaded the file from our website. Please visit this page if you still need to download your department's logo from our website. If you need help placing the logo into an ad template, refer to this page.

Note: This tutorial is for a Mac computer. If you are using a Windows PC, the main difference will be how you unzip the file you download. You'll do this by right–clicking on the file and selecting "Extract all." That should unzip it and produce a folder with all of the .eps files inside.

Step 1: Download the file from the appropriate web page. If all of your preferences are standard, the file will go into your computer's "Downloads" folder.

Step 2: Move the zipped file to your desktop or a folder and then right click it to open it with Archive Utility

Step 3: It should unzip the file into a workable folder like this

Step 4: From there you can open the template you are using (such as a poster template) and use the place function to add the logo.

a. If you are placing the logo on a black bar you will need to select the white logo (#7) which appears to be blank on the preview because it's on a white background.

b. If you were to open the preview window this would be all you would see:

Step 5: All that is left to do is place the logo onto the black bar. It will show up as soon as you are over the black background.
