Justin Bates is honored to be a member of the Theatre Department at Brigham Young University-Idaho. Teaching for over 10 years, and acting and directing for over 20, Justin has worked throughout the Rocky Mountain region of the United States and Canada and in the great State of Louisiana as an educator and working professional.

 

Having taught extensively within the theatre curriculum at several academic and pre-professional training programs, Justin is a collaborative, honest, and compassionate teacher and artist whose work ranges from Medieval Drama to Contemporary Realism. At BYU-Idaho Justin teaches all levels of Acting, Voice Diction, Structure and Analysis, some Theatre History and a Foundations Humanities class titled: Beauty and Creation from the Italian Renaissance to the Present. Justin also directs annually as part of the Theatre Department's production season.
