TESTS THAT NEED TO BE TAKEN IN ORDER TO CERTIFY:

 

Praxis II:

  • Your tests will need to be taken and passed before student teaching.
  • Some majors and minors will be offered on the same session, so you will not be able to take the tests on the same day.
  • You will need to take a test for your major and minor.
  • You can register online at www.ets.org/praxis or by mail if you receive financial aid.
  • Study guides are available at the library or online at http://www.ets.org/praxis/prxorder.html#testglan
  • Cost of each test is between $80 plus a $50 registration fee
  • The test can be taken here at BYU-I.
  • The cut-off score for your test it is available at the Education Advising Center.

Idaho Technology Performance Assessment:

  • Information is available at www.byui.edu/edtech
  • The cost of the test is $45
  • Must be taken before student teaching
