What Resources are Available for Students Struggling with Same-Gender Attraction?
Students have approached members of the Student Representative Council to express their desire to know BYU-Idaho's stance on same gender attraction. The SRC has identified church and campus resources for those dealing with same gender attraction. All students who struggle or wish to help friends or roommates are encouraged to understand the church's position on same-gender attraction by reading the Church's official Web site: www.lds.org/topics/same-gender-attraction.
"Resources have been made available for students to privately discuss such sensitive issues as same-gender attraction and homosexual behavior. Campus ecclesiastical leaders and the Counseling Center provide students with safe, confidential venues to talk openly about and receive guidance on issues related to same-gender attraction."
